WHERE DOES OUR NAME COME FROM?

The name Couleurs de Noir refers to our Blacklist – a carefully curated list of ingredients that we consciously avoid in all our products.

The story of Couleurs de Noir begins with founder Dries Van de Walle. He studied biochemistry and grew up in a family of three generations of pharmacists, where care for health and precision were central.

During his career in the cosmetic industry, he noticed how limited the offering was for people with sensitive skin. Driven by his scientific background and family heritage, he decided to create a brand that brings together make-up and skin health in a credible way.

That vision still forms the foundation of Couleurs de Noir today.
